The major differences in the MVME147-xxA version and the immediate previous version are:
-
The functions formerly implemented in the PCC ASIC are now combined in a new FPGA called PCC-prime. The PCC-prime is intended to function identically to the original PPC.
-
A 3.3 volt linear regulator has been added to supply power to the PCC-prime chip.
-
A Schotky diode has been added to the power pin of the of the NVRAM/RTC chip to provide undervoltage protection and to prevent data loss in certain customers environments.
-
The MC88913 clock driver has been replaced by the functionally compatible Texas Instruments CD339.
-
The PLUS153 programmable logic device has been replaced by the functionally compatible Lattice Semiconductor ISPLS12032E.

** Please note, there is no guarantee this cross reference is accurate, however it is thought to be a good representation. Also, there is no guarantee that the recommended replacement will work in your application as software, settings, and/or other changes in your environment may have an effect on operation. However, in most applications you should find the replacement is a drop in.
